UMD Gemstone





This four-part film, made especially for PBS, will take you on a journey to provide an understanding and appreciation of the significance of the Appalachian Mountains. The filmmakers will introduce the first half of the documentary on Monday, February 9th at 7 p.m. at the Hoff Theatre at the Stamp Student Union. Following the first-half premier, filmmakers Ross and Spears will take up a Q&A discussion and host a reception.

The second half of the Appalachia series will be shown on Thursday, February 12 at 7 p.m. at the Hoff Theatre. Please come out and enjoy the wonders the Appalachian Mountains have to offer, and take advantage of a special opportunity to interact directly with these highly regarded filmmakers. This event is co-sponsored by Gemstone.
